Sanjeeta Bains

In a career spanning over 13 years, I've worked on the UK's best-selling publications, writing about diverse subject matters covering a broad spectrum of feature writing - from interviewing the son of serial killers Fred and Rosemary West and survivors of the London 7/7 bombings to going behind the scenes at global fashion giant headquarters and writing two regular celebrity columns.

I've travelled the world to write features which include documenting my solo backpacking adventures across South America,  ghost hunting in Venice, covering The MTV Europe Music 2005 Awards in Lisbon and The Miss World 2008 contest in Johannesburg.

As a former Showbiz Editor, I've also interviewed hundreds of celebrities. At the age of 24 I was given my first national celebrity column in New! magazine. This essentially meant I was paid to party (as well as pick up exclusive news along the way!)  In my freelance career I've written for The Express Saturday magazine, The Sun, The Sunday People, LOOK, The Sun's Fabulous magazine, STYLIST, Cosmopolitan,  Spirit & Destiny, That's Life, Love it! Woman's Own, Reveal, Now,  Best magazine and Best Daily Online.

I'm a passionate foodie who enjoys discovering new places to eat and drink.  I've worked as a restaurant critic in London and Birmingham and this led to Channel 4 approaching me to appear on their programme Ruth Watson Means Business -  to critique a fine dining restaurant in Cheltenham. The TV programme aired on Tues 10th December 2013.

My journalism background has helped me tremendously in my role as a Freelance PR, Copwriter and Media consultant.  I've produced outstanding PR coverage for my clients and pride myself on being an excellent brand storyteller. If you'd like to know more please check out my linkedin profile and connect with me.

I created The Pleasure Principle to curate and write the best reviews and recommendations for enjoying a more beautiful and pleasurable life. Hope you enjoy!
